At the very begining of my career installing CCTV Equiptment i was sourcing the DVR's and Camera's for each customer as i went along. I came across a variety of different manufactured DVR's alont the way. One thing stood out that make's the brand i now ONLY install "ZOSI" stand out from the rest at the time and still has a unique POS. IF you want remote viewing on 95% of the DVR's available out there today you MUST go through a process of "port forwarding", Doing this gives permission and enable's the DVR's internal IP to pass through your router via Opening up certain port's (a bit technical yes but a breif insight). IF your router is turned off for a period of time e.g a power cut etc, then your service provider will issue you with a new "IP" address on re-connection. What this does is prevent's your remote viewing "App" to connect to your DVR for remote viewing and so you must go through the "port forwarding" routing once again and this is always at a cost from an engineer that must be called out to perform the task. The ZOSI App reconnect's to the device via it's serial number and NOT it's IP address, therefore NO port forwarding is ever required. Once there is an internet connection to the device the app search's the internet for it's serial number as said and re-connect's once the device is back online. NO MORE COST'S.!! They perform with All function's of other DVR's and i have some of the best support available via Facebook with the company to solve any possible problem's i may have. Of course where to situate your new CCTV Cameras can be frustrating as it dictate's the installation as to how many cameras do i need.? A full survey of your property will be done to find out how many camera's will be needed to cover your property and any specific requirement's. The first visit will be to assess your property, whilst there i will position each Camera i think will be required to cover your property and your need's and then i will present the Camera View on a Monitor for you to see the coverage of each individual location for you to see before the installation actuall goes ahead.
